L-W Reception

Getting to know this bride was a lot of fun!  Since she served her LDS mission near my sister, it was a fun link between my sister and me.  Her family lives in my ward, so I was pleased to be invited to participate in documenting their amazing day.

Tried a new effect with my editing program.  I don't love it, but I did love her bouquet, so I couldn't discount this photo.

I thought their rings were lovely, especially with the antler in his, so I was excited to get some pictures featuring the rings.

The stunning bride made her own wedding cake, which is amazing to me!  It is such a lovely piece!

The anonymous decorators of the get-away car had great taste and knew the bride and groom's tastes, too.

One of the helpers was so pleased with her perfect swirl of cream on one of the pies.  I was happy to memorialize the perfection for her.

Senior Photos T

Four years ago, I was still learning a lot about my own photography style and I took pictures for this girl's older sister.  Yesterday, I was able to recreate a couple of styles for T, who also gave plenty of her own attitude to the shoot.  It was a joy to wander Waukesha and see some of the beauty there, as well as the fun relationship between T and her mother.  So glad we could schedule this in between all of our own vacations!

H Family Sneak Peek

I can't believe these little men are already three months old!  The wind and clouds made things difficult, but we still ended up with some fantastic family photos!

Elaina H: Senior Portraits

I've had the chance to get to know this beautiful young woman over nearly two years and it's been a joy!  So excited for your upcoming graduation, Elaina!  You are an amazing, talented, strong woman and I'm so glad I know you!  Thanks for introducing me to such a beautiful location; you can be sure I'll be back there again!

Of the many mother-daughter shots, this was my very favorite!  You are both amazing and I'm proud to know you!

Holy Twins!

Such an amazing adventure to do newborn photos with twins!

I took pictures of the younger guy first, B.  He is all cheeks and chubs!

Big brother, M, got his pictures second.  M is all hugs and snuggles!

They are absolutely adorable together!

Love that Mom and Dad got in on a couple photos!

Labor and Delivery Shoot - H Family

It was such a joy to be with a friend as she and her husband prepared to welcome two beautiful boys to their family!  38 hours of being in the hospital takes it's toll, but at least the final hour and a half brought the twins.

C had an incredible amount of support.  Here she is with her two sisters.

Having her water break was such a big deal!

The boys were very closely monitored all through labor.

Dad was super supportive and always ready to be where and what C needed.

So many visitors made their guesses as to the boys' weights.  Ultimately, we were all wrong, since we all thought the first baby born, M, would be bigger, but baby B surprised us all.

While I was unable to attend the deliver due to risks and C needing to be in the OR, this was our first mini glimpse of her, happily crying over the boys snuggled up to her.

Proud grandma, proud mama.

Baby B got finished with measurements in the room.

Baby M took his time learning to nurse and got TLC with mama.

Such a happy little miracle family!

Baby B, snuggled up, but with a rebellious little hand sneaking out.

Baby M, content to sleep in mama's arms.

Two clean little boys, wrapped up close to mama.

Baby B, several hours later.  I adore his precious cheeks!

Baby M, refusing to sleep until he's with mama.

C snuggling up with M, trying to encourage him to nurse.  Little doll gets ready in position, and promptly falls asleep.

B is wearing "worth the wait", while M's says, "answered prayers".

Paternal grandparents each get a snuggle.  Grandma has B, and Grandpa has M.

Maternal grandma proudly holds both boys.

In the last few hours of pregnancy vs. finally holding the precious babies.

Mama and her boys.
